CeDAR Connects Alumni Newsletter

April 4, 2024 | Volume 27

Hello CeDAR!

I wanted to formally introduce myself to this amazing community. My name is Brooke Jajczyk and I am thrilled to be joining the CeDAR Team as the new Alumni Coordinator.

I was in Residential Treatment at CeDAR in October 2021. It was a life changing experience and continues to be an integral part of my recovery. In addition to completing IRT, IOP, CCG, and Individual therapy at CeDAR, I have dedicated countless hours to participating in our Alumni Program.
When the opportunity arose for the Alumni Coordinator position, I was hesitant to apply. Our former coordinator, Meghan White, was an outstanding leader and presented what seemed to be impossible shoes to fill. But my fear subsided with the need to preserve her legacy and to grow our beautiful community, while keeping connection thriving.
The Alumni Program, and every person in it, is one of the most important parts of my life. It has given me a new purpose and brought me the support and joy I needed throughout the hardest years of my life.
There is a bright future ahead for our Alumni Program that we can all look forward to building such as; welcoming new alumni, continuing our fun events and meaningful meetings, supplying resources to our CeDAR Pantry and members, and most importantly providing care and love to all.

I am so proud to dedicate myself fully to this program, and return the support and strength that it has given me.
